Gulf Shores Weddings

Gulf Shores weddings, Orange Beach weddings, Perdido Key beach weddings

Brides planning Gulf Shores beach weddings, Orange Beach weddings and Perdido Key beach weddings look forward to sugar white, sea oat dotted sands and crashing diamond flecked, emerald green surf. With a sapphire blue sky, or the magic of a color splashed sunset you have the perfect location for beginning a lifetime of happiness.

Beach wedding music

Music for Gulf shores weddings can range from a solo violin up to a chamber orchestra depending on the brides budget. More important than how many musicians a bride may choose is how well the music can be heard. More musicians do not make your music louder. Only amplification can increase the volume of the music.

All beaches are windy. Brides with Gulf Shores weddings will encounter more windy days with high surf than brides with Destin beach weddings but Gulf Shores weddings enjoy fewer crowds, less traffic and not as much hustle and bustle.

Whether you choose a solo violin or a full orchestra for your beach wedding music, you should consider amplification for beach weddings. Remember this rule of thumb. One amplified musician on the beach can drown out a non amplified symphony orchestra on the same beach. Music that can’t be heard is just wasted money. If you want your guests to hear your Officiate, reader and/or singer they really need to be professionally amplified.

Why Amplify For Your Wedding?

The Surf

Gulf Shores weddings will enjoy beautiful, crashing surf as a background effect. Because of the depth and disposition of the bottom surface, the waves are often more spectacular in Gulf Shores and Orange Beach than those of the Florida panhandle. The surf can be, and often is, louder and more exciting. Be mindful that this can work against being able to hear the Officiate, music and any readers and/or singers a bride might wish to have as part of her ceremony. Amplification can easily handle this problem.

Alabama Beaches

The beaches of Gulf Shores and Orange Beach are generally deeper than those of the Florida coastline. This makes them less crowded and more hospitable for setting up wedding ceremonies. Parking also tends to be less of a problem along Alabama beaches than those of the resort cities of Northwest Florida such as Destin, Santa Rosa Beach, Seaside and others.

From Gulf State Park, with a very nice pavilion area, including, large newly constructed restrooms, to the isolated beach areas of Fort Morgan road, brides have many wedding sites to choose from. Alabama beach  sand is slightly more dense and thus easier to walk on than that in many other beach locations. This is especially good for disabled or older guests.

Accommodations

National motel chains,  upscale resorts, numerous condos and beach house residential rentals can meet any budget or taste. Most are wedding friendly and will be happy to assist brides.  Some maintain lists of wedding vendors servicing the area.

Shopping and nightlife

Gulf Shores is just south of Foley, Alabama which is home to the well known Riviera Outlet Center shopping mall. Many new developments near the Craft Farms residential area have just come online and The Wharf entertainment complex is very active.  Boutique and specialist shops of every description are throughout the area. For some helpful tips on planning your beach wedding click Beach ceremony tips!
